George Fox (born in 1624, dying on January 13, 1691), the founding father of the Quaker motion, was a trailblazer who opened up a brand new path for religious seekers. Born in England, he obtained little schooling and was apprenticed to a leather-based maker. After a mystical expertise, Fox shared his imaginative and prescient with different “Mates.” His teachings about heeding the inside voice, residing merely, and opposing warfare have been scorned by fellow Christians. Fox spent over six years in varied prisons and but he managed to convey hundreds into his “Society of Mates.”
