Steven Biko (1946 – 1977) was born in a small South African city and educated at Anglican and Catholic colleges. Whereas in medical college, he joined the Nationwide Union of South African College students after which went on to discovered the South African Pupil Group in 1968. Biko’s political actions resulted in his being expelled from medical college.
